I love Mom and pop restaurants that serve down to earth food, especially breakfast all day. Everything on the menu looked amazing and choosing what to try first (I'm new to the area) was hard), but the Chorizo omelette was fantastic!
Great atmosphere. The place is 'bright' soundwise so when the early crowd got in there was the sound of conversation everywhere. The clientele there just after opening is family and tends to be a little older, so it was good atmosphere. The omelette I had was excellent.
Food is always hot and fresh, seasoned well, and served with a smile. The portions are generous as well. Omelette Cafe is convenient to our home for a late lunch and we love the shrimp and flounder plate. I have had several of the menu items, but that's my fave. I have included a photo of the chicken sandwich and curly fries. When my food arrived I completely forgot to photograph it! I'll try to remember next time!
Nice breakfast location. Great customer service. Clean, open atmosphere. The coffee was "diner" coffee.. so so. Water was filtered and good (some restaurants seem to serve bad tasting water to force you to purchase one of their beverages. IMO). MY husband ordered the Triple Crown Omelet, hash browns, and toast. The eggs (2) were cooked very thinly, and they reminded me of a crepe. It was filled with 3 great meats and cheese. He enjoyed it - I found it tasty, but dry. The hash browns were great! The "sourdough toast", first of all - SC doesn't seem to ever stock sourdough.. they serve a thick white bread. Today, the toast was just OK. I ordered 2 eggs (scrambled with cheese and onions added), 2 slices of bacon (crispy) and a regular waffle. I think the cheese and onions MADE those scrambled eggs delicious. The bacon consistency was amazing! But it was so salty I had to break it up and eat it WITH the eggs. That made it great, though I do wish it wasn't so salty. The waffle was bland, cold, and truly unpleasant. I gave most to my hubby. He said it was acceptable to him. I wish I had ordered the Belgian Waffle in hindsight. Overall, not sure this is a repeat visit. But it was nice to be with my sweetheart. :)
Stopped here for a late breakfast on the way to HHI. My wife opted for a pancake and I had the Chorizo Burritos. Very good. For a busy day, the food arrived quickly. The drink service could be improved.
